I personally enjoyed playing American Truck Simulator with my friends, especially while using my Logitech G920 wheel, however it should be noted that this game is very barebones and 99% of the unique locations are locked behind a DLC paywall. I found myself getting increasingly bored from driving to the same locations on the West Coast over and over again. Overall fun game to play with your friends at night, but not something to play just for fun.
There isn't much to say other than this game is the bog-standard party game to play with your friends. I had plenty of memorable moments playing this game.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons was the perfect Covid-19 game for me, the overall customizability of your own personal island is what was cool about New Leaf but expanded to a full fledged "Island Building Simulator," however this comes with a few gripes. I personally dont like the fact the island uses built in time based off of your Switch's clock. I found this to be annoying as certain fish and bugs come out at times which can make it hard to log on to catch them to fill out your museum. It would be fine if restting your clock in your switch didn't reset things such as your Nook Miles counter. There is also the fact there isn't quite much to do once you have reached the "End-Game." Once you get a 5-star island you can complete your encyclopedia and flush out your island but there isnt quite this "drive" to do so. You mainly get things like extra miles and golden tools recipes which are cool execpt for the fact that the golden tools still break and the miles you get aren't too useful once you have all the villagers you want.
The first 3 cases I got into the first Apollo Justice games were fun but the one thing that kinda drove me away from the game was the "percive" mechanic used in certain cases. Don't get me wrong it is cool to see that Apollo Justice is able to use this ability but I just found it overall annoying to look for minor details such as "[Character] swallowed while telling [Line: 4] thus they are lying!"I might get back into the game but overall I just can't stand the gameplay
I like ARK: SE as a game, I just wish it wasn't 230 FUCKING GIGABYTES. The dinosaurs and base building is cool, however the times I did play multiplayer not on a server I found it annoying that theres a boundary circle that keeps you in place.
Balatro is a unique almost mind-numbing game to me, the simplistic yet complex system in which you build your poker hand every round and/or run keeps the game unique while also fustrating. I have found myself in many situations where my all Spade Flush Deck encounters a boss that makes all Spades have no effects. That being said the game does go far deeper than what I played so far.
Baldur's Gate 3 was my first experience in the "Baldur's Gate" series, I overall enjoyed my time playing. The DnD aspect of everything is super fun yet also can be annoying if you keep failing a roll to find a trap you know is there. The game is very customizable in what you want to play as. I had many great moments such as having any form of cutscene but my friends bomb it by running past naked.
BloonsTD 6 is a very fun game to play just to kill some time in-between classes or work. I personally spent my time trying to complete C.H.I.M.P.S on every map. I do dislike the fact that most towers are completely useless due to other towers doing the same thing for cheaper. I did get tired of running Sauda as a hero for every map based on how powerful she is early game.
